I am a painter working with acrylics and oils, to create works that embody movement, energy, and emotion. My process is intuitive and physical—I follow the rhythm of
inspiration, often painting for hours in a state of creative flow. Large canvases allow
me to move freely, making each mark an extension of my body’s movement and inner experience.
My work spans evocative Abstracts and immersive Landscapes, shifting between bold, energetic compositions and quieter, more introspective pieces. Colour plays a vital role;
I build up transparent, muted layers that hold depth and emotion before breaking through with gestural strokes of vibrancy and light.This contrast reflects life itself—its complexities and subtleties, moments of stillness and intensity. Some works radiate energy and immediacy, while others unfold more slowly, revealing their depth over time.
Nature remains a central source of inspiration, grounding my practice in its ever-changing moods and atmospheres. My background in graphic design informs my strong
mark-making, balancing instinctive movement with thoughtful composition. I work in
series, allowing each collection to evolve organically, embracing both the unknown and
the intentional.
Since relocating from London to semi-rural Surrey, my connection to the landscape has deep- ened. My immersive Landscapes capture the shifting light, textures, and emotions of nature, while my expressive Abstracts channel a more direct, physical engagement with the canvas.Whether bold and dynamic or subtle and layered, my paintings invite a personal connection, evoking feeling, memory, and presence.
